The worst , useless support from paypal to their customers are continuing Especially wrt indian users. Now it seems paypal is almost scamming indian users.
Last year they faced problem of withdrawal of money to indian banks. As they believe in hold money and enjoy. They did the same this year too. Indian users who withdraw after jan26 not got the money in their bank accounts still.
The transactions are showing as completed but the money is not deposited in indian’s banks and its also not in their paypal account Just imagine how much money , interest paypal is earning from indian user’s hard earned money.
Dear XYZ ABC,
We are currently experiencing an issue processing withdrawals to Indian bank
accounts. As a result, there may be some delay in withdrawals from your PayPal account to your bank account.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused, and are doing all we can to
resolve the issue.
Thank You,
PayPal
Now they made the decision of removing gift option from paypal .
After the gift option removal from indian users now they did another idiotic and worst decision which is reversing transactions. It amazes how come these retarded idiots work in paypal team.
If some one paid you ( after feb 1 ) then its best to check that transaction because it is reversed by paypal and money refunded to the buyer.
Lets thing you completed one service and your client paid. Now the transaction is reversed and now we need to ask for the money again from buyer. If they are good we can expect repayment. or else we are screwed by this payment processors team. That really make sense ? Do they really use their common sense ( if they have ) to make the transactions reversed.
You can see around thousand replies in Thread of DP forum about this issue.
Except paypal everybody are aware of this issue
People are getting annoyed more with their crappy same email replies over and over again. Yeah whatever they mail they are getting same automated response with just diff name of paypal support team.
We hope paypal is not went bankrupt. And not scamming other’s money
As a blogger, you must not only focus on informing and entertaining your readers. It’s also important that you secure better page ranking for your blog so you can attract more traffic. The more people you drive to your blog, the higher your chances of making a sale, right?
Securing a better page ranking for your blog is relatively easy. One of the things that you need to do is to make sure that each of your blog posts is properly optimized so they can add keyword power to your site.
Here’s how you can optimize your blog posts:
1. Learn the basics of search engine optimization. Keep in mind that optimizing your blog posts isn’t all about keyword usage. Google and other search engines have other requirements when they are indexing blogs. So, it will really help if you learn the algorithms of search engines and that you read relevant resources about SEO. The more you know about the process, the better.
2. Keyword suggestion tools. These tools are your best allies in determining the best keywords to target on your content. I suggest that you use Google AdWord suggestion tool. This is not only because it’s very reliable but also because you can use it for free. Search the term that is closest to your chosen niche and this tool will generate a complete list of popular search terms that were used by your target audience for the last couple of weeks.
3. Optimize your articles. Create topics around those popular keywords in your niche. This is to make sure that you’ll be able to deliver the type of information that your target audience are looking for. Then, insert the keywords that you’re targeting on your content. Place them on your titles and on your article body. Limit your keyword usage to make sure that you will not exceed the recommended keyword density.
Apple, which brought consumers such hits as the iPod and iPhone, is wading into a new product category with the launch of its iPad, a touch-screen tablet computer that CEO Steve Jobs has said puts “the Internet in your hands” — and apparently much more.
At a media event on Jan. 27, Jobs unveiled the 1.5-pound tablet computing device with a 9.7-inch screen and built-in Internet connectivity, which will be available for purchase sometime in late March. “We call it the iPad. What this device does is extraordinary,” Jobs said. “You can browse the Web with it. It’s phenomenal. It’s way better than a laptop [and] way better than a smartphone.”
Competitively, the iPad is targeted at netbooks — popular mini-laptops with screens that measure 10 inches or less — and tablet-style e-book readers such as Amazon.com’s Kindle, Barnes & Noble’s nook and Sony’s Reader, according to experts at Wharton. Jobs positioned the iPad as a universal computing device that can play music, movies and video games, show pictures and hold a library of books.
What’s unclear is whether consumers will buy into the idea of a universal device that meets all their needs — or whether the iPad will become just one more gadget to juggle.
Apple’s latest device may find a market, but it won’t be easy, according to Peter Fader, a Wharton marketing professor. He says the iPad, like other tablet PCs, has to answer a core question in the consumer’s mind: Why do I need one?
“Tablets fell into the cracks [in the past] because they couldn’t answer that question, and the iPad is the same,” he said.
Wharton legal studies and business ethics professor Andrea Matwyshyn says the iPad’s technical specifications — notably a 10-hour battery life — may not enable it to function as a universal device, at least in its first generation, although she expects Apple to improve the product.
Eric Clemons, an operations and information management professor at Wharton, said the device also lacks the storage to replace multiple devices: Whereas the iPad comes in 16-, 32- and 64-gigabyte (GB) versions, Apple’s high-end iPhone alone offers up to 32GB of storage, and netbooks generally start with 160GB of storage.
In addition, the iPad, which uses the same operating system that powers the iPhone, doesn’t support Adobe Systems’ Flash software, which is used on many Web sites. As a result, Web surfing on the iPad may not compare to traditional laptops. Jobs’ presentation didn’t directly address iPad’s lack of support for Flash, but one of the Web sites displayed in his demonstration had a blank square where video or animated Flash content would have appeared.
If consumers still need to carry a laptop for Flash-enabled Web browsing, a phone for placing calls, and an iPod for storing movies, books and music, “then what exactly do I need the iPad for?” Clemons asks.
That’s a question many consumers are likely to ask, experts at Wharton say.
“I’m struggling to place the iPad myself. It’s not clear how exactly to position this device,” says Kartik Hosanagar, an operations and information management professor at Wharton. “Initially, the iPad is a direct competitor to Kindle. But the iPad faces a superset of competitors: The iPhone, Kindle, iPod and the netbook.”
However, the iPad does have something going for it that past tablets did not: It already has a software and content ecosystem. “The nice thing Apple and Amazon [with its Kindle] have done is tie the device to specific content,” Hosanagar says. “Previously, the tablet was just another piece of hardware.”
Apple applied the same design principles to the iPad that it used with the iPhone and iPod touch, and it tightly integrated the iPad with its iTunes store and the 140,000 applications that also run on the iPhone. By doing so, Apple is giving its latest device the same ingredients that made the iPod and iPhone hits.
“The success of the device will depend on content and the applications that go with it,” says Joshua Eliashberg, a marketing professor at Wharton. Matwyshyn agrees. “The apps are going to be critical [for the iPad's success]. The App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch allowed consumers to use the devices in appealing ways and bred loyalty.”
Since all of the iPhone’s applications work on the iPad, the latter should gain some traction with customers. However, Eliashberg notes that Apple will certainly develop unique iPad-only applications to convince consumers they need another device to carry. “The consumer will ask for applications unique to the iPad that benefit from a larger screen, the vibrant colors and latest technology,” he says.
Following Apple’s media event, the company released a software developer’s kit in a move to generate applications for the iPad before its release next month.
Despite past tablet failures, “there’s clearly a market for book-sized devices,” says Karl Ulrich, an operations and information management professor at Wharton. “There’s a market here as borne out by the Kindle and netbooks.”
Indeed, Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster expects Apple to ship anywhere from three million to four million iPads in 2010, providing a threat to Amazon’s Kindle in 2011. Susquehanna Financial Group analyst Marianne Wolk estimates that Amazon has sold 2.3 million Kindles to date and will ship another four million in 2010.
For iPad to compete directly with the Kindle, Apple will need to build an e-book content store that rivals Amazon’s. To that end, at the iPad media event, Jobs announced partnerships with five large book publishers: Penguin Group, HarperCollins, Hachette Book Group, Simon & Schuster and McGraw-Hill. The company also said the iPad would support ePub, an open standard for e-books, although using a proprietary digital rights management system for protected content. Apple didn’t show off magazines and newspapers other than The New York Times during its iPad demonstration.
Experts at Wharton say Apple will have to sign more content deals if the iPad is going to compete against Amazon’s Kindle. Media companies, however, may readily flock to the iPad.
“Print media’s future is in doubt,” Eliashberg notes. “The iPad is an opportunity for newspapers and magazines to start getting paid for content as they move away from print to digital.” In fact, some analysts have speculated that The New York Times’ recent announcement that it plans to begin charging for some content coincided with the iPad launch for that very reason.
Allen Weiner, an analyst at research firm Gartner, said that as it now stands, the iPad is no savior for the publishing industry — at least not until software developers create unique applications for viewing publications on the device.
The iPad is a “wakeup call to other people in the media industry,” Fader notes. “It’s a catalyst for [new business models].” He predicts many content providers will create applications for the iPad that will be distinct enough to entice consumers to subscribe. “There’s no question that media businesses will rush into it and maybe too quickly,” he adds. “These companies need to think through the business models first.”
Finding ways to make an income online can be done and did you know that you can use expired domains as a way to generate a cash income? OK you have to do a little more than just buy an expired domain and then expect the income to just roll in, some work has to be done but it really is easy and a good way to have an income source on auto pilot once it has been set up.
These older sites will have a lot of work done already so some link building would have been done and if a site was any good then people would have link to it and others would have remembered it as a good place for gathering information.
The best way is to find an expired domain at one of the registration companies that deal with them online and run a variety of checks such as how many back links a site has to how many pages were indexed, and which pages still are indexed. Using websites like the way back checker can provide this information and you can sometimes find the old content that has been written which is great because that will save you a ton of time so you will not need to write any fresh content.
You can then buy the domain set the site up and add Google AdSense to the site which is a hands free way of monetizing the site. You will then need to do some basic search engine optimization on the web building platform of your choice which can be done pretty quickly and then just build a few more links to help the site get back its ranking and let the search engines find the old site.
If the site has a good amount of old traffic then you should see some results, but with anything I can not guarantee it will make you rich.
A very important part of Search Engine Optimization or SEO is building high quality inbound links. Although links pointing to your site are a vital factor in your search engine ranking, there are other factors, as well. You raise your odds of a higher ranking in the search engines if you have good inbound links to your site, and your higher ranking will increase the traffic to your site. This article discusses 3 simple suggestions to improve your site’s ranking and build better backlinks.
Effective Link Building Through Your Blog
If you want a safe way to create backlinks to your site, connect it to a website like myBlogLog, Twitter, Technorati, and other web 2.0 sites that link back to your blog or website any time they are notified of a change. Once you submit your site, create profile pages, and claim your blogs, you are already getting the hard work done. After you have created your profile and claimed your blogs, you need to wait to see if your profiles and accounts will be accepted by them. Once that’s done, you can start to get some automated link juice. The backlinks you acquire this way are high quality since they’re coming from high PR sites. Plus, since most of the work is done automatically, you really do not have to do anything manually once you have your profile set up. This strategy is extremely helpful if you’re looking out to build backlinks with less effort and better results.
Quality Outweighs Quantity
Manual back links have benefits but require a bigger time devotion. However, despite the ease of Method #1, manually building back links is often a quality investment of your web site development time. Let’s take the example of EzineArticles.com, which is considered the best among the other article directories, and can be utilized the build some really strong backlinks. The whole idea here is to make sure you get a good return on your time investment by leveraging such effective places to get links manually. Do not waste your time putting efforts into gaining backlinks from places that will not give you any true results; instead, focus your efforts on getting articles published through quality sites like EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com, which are considered to be the best. Writing original articles and getting them published through this type of site will allow you to get a very high quality backlink for your time and effort.
Using Anchor Text in Your Links
When you post to a forum you can include your link in your signature and crate a back link to your site. Forums receive thousands of vistors a day and you can easily gain access to this traffic by posting on the forum. Simply design a great signature including your website link, it’s really that easy! By doing this, you can build a lot of quality backlinks and drive targeted traffic at the same time. Remember, the quality of the backlink is effected by where you post, so make sure you post in related forums. It may sound too simple to really work, but it can if done correctly.
1. Select a domain name
Don’t try to do too many things with your name like for example use all the keywords. I’ve come to the conclusion that so much is at play when it comes to SEO and selling a concept or attracting people to a site that the shortest, easiest to remember and to spell name is the best option.
For example I created site like “search-engine-optimization-professionals” and realized that this is so long and so complicated (not the “s” at the end – I actually debated for or against the “s” and selected both domain at one point) that all this was pointless. Additionally Google started penalizing sites with “-” in their names.
Bottom line, find something easy to spell and remember.
Finally, as a personal preference, I do not recommend that people buy their domain name through their hosting company. I personally use Godaddy as much because I started with them and have too many domain to move somewhere else but any specialized domain registration site is what I would recommend. This being said there are no specific rule here so whatever works for you…

Bottom line is who cares what you select today? For under $8.00 for a domain per year you can afford to buy a few and test them? Who knows, you may have some variation and I am testing them to see what kind of action I get if any. A couple of years ago someone some-one suggested that I get some wine sites and I got a few but came up with the idea of some name that would personalize these sites. So I got what was available (mycaliforniawinery or buy-california-wine – Yes, at the time the “-” was still working) but was not satisfied since most good stuff was gone. I thought about it and decided to select a bunch of things that were “customized” around the concept of myxxxxcorner (for example mycaliforniawinecorner, myredwinecorner, mychardonnaycorner, etc.). I must have spent $80.00 and by the end of the first year abandoned half of them.
Keep in mind though that if you want to brand a name, what I describe above will not work. However, there is always the option for sub-domain like wahetver1.domain_name, whatver2.domain_name, etc. but SEO is peculiar for these so it is another issue to consider.
There are many options for what may be your best option, and I suggest that you think through but at the very minimum secure a few domains that you think may work for you.
2. Create a Website
Some people spend a fortune on this and I think it is not very smart unless there is an absolute need to have very specific look and feel to create an image or ambiance. Most people on the net do not seem to care much about web design if you believe what you see. Amazon, Yahoo, Google are not exactly the most attractive sites on the Net yet they work for the people who use them and that the key… work!
Bottom line you want to start with a simple site and take it from there. There are plenty of sources for free templates and I encourage you to take them into consideration.
Where I think your money would be better spent is on a program that allows you to manage your website. There are free ones (open source) like Joomla, Drupal, Magnolia and paid ones that are often specialized solutions like Salesforce but cost a bundle. I personally use neither and rely on Micromedia Dreamweaver and the assistance of my php programmer to do what I need because I like 100% control over my website.
As a result my recommendation is to get a copy or Dreamweaver and start learning the basic of building and maintaining a website. It’s not the easiest route but this with the “ready to go” template makes it best approach in my view.

Finally you must have noticed that some website show a small icon next to their domain name and if you want to create something like that it’s super easy. Just create some kind of logo (keep in mind that since it is tiny it should be something easy to recognize like a letter) and go to http://www.favicon.cc/ and you’ll see how easy it is to do
Whatever you decide to do, do not waste too much time re-inventing the wheel on this one. What you need is a simple, easy to navigate websites that is attractive and pleasing to the eye and “Paramount” has something to say, hence # 7 below.
3. Create Content for your Websites
Well, here is another vast and interesting subject. Many people think that they are great at writing content and they go on and write long tirades about their websites and business and loose the point, let alone the attention of the visitor. Others read some SEO articles about content and learn that you have to include as many keywords as possible. So they go on and load their text with so much stuff that it becomes a weird concoction of words that barely make any sense. Yet, other who may have tried both approached and failed hire a web copy writer to do all of the above.
In my opinion the secret of great content for a website starts with something that has been around for centuries and that is applied very commonly in all newspapers, TV promos, etc. It’s the headline… If you have a great headline that grabs the visitor’s attention then you have already done half your job.
How does it work for a website? Simple — You must capture in a few words that describe what this site is all about. In other words whatever made you decide to start this business in step 1 should now be explained in a short statement. For example if you decided to sell used technical manual online because no-one else does it then state it “The Place for Used Tech Manual”

TIP: In case you need content in a hurry and for a temporary period of time, you should know that Wikipedia allows anyone to use their content as long as it is recognized as originating from Wikipedia
Finally while this is not really content related, you should not forget to check on the option to add a search capability to your website. Here are some free and paid solutions.

4. Select an ISP
There are thousands literally these days and all offer the same things (more or less). There are three main option:
I – Shared Hosting – You along with hundreds of others are hosted on the same machine(s)
II – VPS (Virtual Private Server) Hosting – A space within a machine or machine is dedicated to you and only you and you get basic admin support
III – Dedicated Server – A server is dedicated to you and only you and the admin support is a bit more advanced
Bottom line is that if you are going to have a few links on what is mainly a content site with very little or no functionality then get a shared plan. If on the other hand you are going to run a data base and need to install some apps to run your business then VPS and dedicated is for you. The big difference between the two is volume and capacity between the servers, and this is when you need to make a decision between VPS or Dedicated.

- HostGator

Regardless of where you decide to host your site, I would suggest that you make sure that you can upload your files via FTP and to get an FTP solution and always backup your websites’ files. This will allow you to switch to another ISP provider if you are not happy with the one you first selected*
* Hence you want to register your domain with an independent registration provider independent of your ISP. This will allow you to make a simple change of DNS when you want to switch.
1. Download the Alexa toolbar and use it every day to visit your own website. Alexa even gives you the ability to co-brand the toolbar with your own logo and give it away. You can download the toolbar here: http://pages.alexa.com/prod_serv/associatetoolbar.html
2. Use Alexa redirection whenever you can. No matter when or where you provide a link to your website, be sure to use the equivalent Alexa redirect URL. For example, when providing a link to my website, I use http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?marketingscoop.com. If you copy this URL into your browser, it will take you to MarketingScoop.com. To use this technique, simply replace the name of my website (marketingscoop) with yours.
3. Encourage your website visitors to add their positive testimonials on Alexa’s detailed listings page for your website. This can be done by placing a link to the appropriate Alexa page on your website and asking visitors to “Click here to rate this website”.
4. Write your own site reviews on the top 100 rated Alexa sites and include your redirect URL. The top 500 domains, according to Alexa can be found at http://www.alexa.com/site/ds/top_500 When you write a review, be sure to use the redirection URL we discussed in number 2 above specifically for your website [http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?marketingscoop.com].
5. Download the Alexa ranking button, traffic history graph, info links, and other traffic counters onto the page of your website that receives the most traffic. For example, at the bottom of my home page http://www.marketingscoop.com, I’ve added the Alexa ranking box. You can do the same for your own site by visiting http://www.alexa.com/site/site_stats/signup You’ll notice that I haven’t added the traffic history graph. This is because it wouldn’t look appropriate on my home page and because Alexa is only providing detailed history on the top 100,000 sites. So if you’re not in the top 100,000, site stats would not be available.
6. Take an inexpensive advertisement out on the ExactSeek search directory for only a few dollars per month at ExactSeek.com Search engine results are directly correlated with Alexa rankings. You’ll notice that if a website is highly ranked on ExactSeek, chances are that it will be highly ranked on Alexa.
7. Get listed on as many search engines as possible by placing a free listing in DMOZ. This is the largest human edited directory on the web and is co-branded among hundreds of thousands of sites. Be patient though, it often takes up to 5 months before you see your website listed after submission. Even though it takes longer than it should, you have little say in the matter because it’s so widely used across the Internet.
These simple Alexa strategies are easy to implement and will make a huge difference in your Alexa ranking. Ultimately you want visitors to do more than visit your home page, you want them to interact with your site. Be sure to optimize your home page for SEO purposes, ease of use, and interaction. Creating a positive user experience will get visitors to return again and again. Thank you, Visit us Agian!
